I am Heather Splawn, the founder and co-owner of Clear to Close TC Services, LLC. I married my husband, Derek Splawn, the other co-owner, in 2015. We have create a beautiful choas of four children together and are loving every minute of them. We are currently building a barndominium on 13 acres in Texas that should wrap up this summer. I love my coffee in the mornings, homeschooling my two olders through a co-op and Jesus!
I have always had a knack for getting involved in real estate somehow... here's my story:
I have been serving the greater Houston metro area since 2010 in the real estate industry via employment or personal experiences. My first experience with real estate was working with a lender as a receptionist through college. The numbers game was so intriguing to my type C personality. I helped to start the process for a hard money Lending company the brokerage was starting as well. This experience alone sparked my interest for building a solid foundation for future growth and development.
After working in the industry for a couple of years, I was able to save money to purchase my first home the same month I graduated from University of Houston - Downtown with my major in Business Administration in 2012. I absolutely feel in love with the process of buying a home, and I ended up being offered a job with the title company I closed my first home purchase. I started off at the front desk and worked my way to an escrow assistant and dabbled in title research on the side.
Ultimately, I did leave the real estate industry for a spell by entering into Human Resources and then Sales for potentially owning a company one day. While these don't tie hand in hand with real estate, I feel these experiences play a vital role in my ability to provide excellent customer service, attention to detail, understanding flexibility as every transaction is different and enhanced my communication skills to a broad range of clients.
Even while I left the workforce to raise my family, we moved into a brand new build, remodeled it and then moved out to 13 acres to a barndominium in construction. I literally CANNOT stay away from real estate even if I try... which is why I believe starting my own business as a transaction coordinator is not work for me... it's an everlasting desire to help your clients live their dream and help you grow into yours.
